celebrating the stories that bring us together

Picture a regatta – like Head of the Charles in Boston, MA or San Diego Crew Classic or Head of the Hooch – sun shining, the course flowing along teeming with boats. The walkways jammed (in “the good old days”) with rowers, coaches, coxswains, fans, and dignitaries. In the course of just a few minutes, you will pass and be passed by a massive variety of styles, heights, builds, experience, and stories of how they all came together.

When I imagine the full breadth of Steady State Network, I imagine celebrating that flow of consciousness all around the sport of rowing which I hold very dear. I imagine my own origin story into rowing – from a high school athlete, to a masters rower, to a learn to row coach, to a founder of an inclusive rowing non-profit, to this moment as a co-founder of a media network dedicated to your story, your fascination with all things rowing.

I hope you’ll join us today as a Patron and a contributing member and get to the heart of the rower, in all your glory. Go Team!
