WHO?
A couple of rowing nerds named Rachel and Tara, who between them have nearly 40 years of rowing, coaching, and coxing experience. We could spend days talking about this sport, and regularly find ourselves comparing notes on the perfect stroke, compliment sandwiches, and gnawing on callouses.
WHAT?
Steady State Network is a media group that disrupts the popular, yet limited narrative about rowing culture. We celebrate the expansive array of rowers, coaches, and coxswains and savor real-life experience from launch to cox seat at every level. It’s about rowing … for the rest of us.
WHY?
We want to change the style of how rowing is represented. By curating and creating engaging, exciting, and authentic content Steady State Network seeks to change the narrative presented in current mainstream rowing-related media.

Steady State Network pledges to shape this media through the lens of strong allyship in our curation, creation, and production of a podcast, website, social media content. Established in 2020, we have sought to do our best from Day One to foster an open dialogue on representations in our community and hold a firm dedication to challenge the longstanding silence and racism that has undervalued true inclusion in the sport.
